The Showchairman's Report - Please scroll down for Pictures of the Specialty The Scottish Terrier Club of Michigan held its 40th Specialty Show in Romulus, Michigan at the Metropolitan Hotel. Friday night, September 10th was our Fun Match and judge Ron McConnell picked for his best puppy Kelwyn's History in The Making owned by Kelli & David Edell as his winner. We then had our costume class with several wonderful entries. We had a picnic table with a Scottie Ant, cute Scotties dressed up in "Made in Michigan" cherry dress(she) and bow tie (he). The winner was Tiny, owned by Jim and Diane DeArmond who had on a beautiful formal dress and jewels and was taken around the ring in a wagon that was turned into a Carriage. Saturday morning our sweeps judge Rick Fowler from Texas had a nice size entry of 19. His best in sweeps went to Cumbria’s Ready Jet Go owned by Pat and Tracy Wooster. Then our afternoon judge was Dr. Juan Antonio Rivera from Uruguay. Winners dog was Anstamn Texas Ranger owned by Anstamn Kennels. Reserve Winners dog was Woburn Camelot Unbridled Spirit owned by Steve and Debbie Russell. Winners bitch was Anstamn Party Time owned by Jan Craig and Anstamn Kennels. Reserve winners Bitch was Charthill Victory in Profile At Kelwyn owned by Kelli Edell and Charla and Kari Hill. Veteran Dog was CH HIQ’s Bruce Almighty owners Nancy Schaus and Regina Hess. BEST OF BREED was awarded to CH HiJinks Cautcha Lookin owned by Marcia Dawson. Best of winners was Anstamn Party Time owned by Jan Craig and Anstamn Kennels. Best of Opposite sex was CH Anstamn Wild Card owned by Marilyn and Ed Lindsay and Kim Lindsay -Stroede. Select dog was GRCH Mistyglen Sirius Black owners Nancy Schaus and Regina Hess. Select Bitch and Award of Merit was CH Anstamn Party Line owners Jan Craig and Anstamn Kennels. The second Award of Merit was CH Hiq’s Bruce Almighty owners Nancy Schaus and Regina Hess. After the show we had a wonderful dinner and a big thank you to Denise Zdyrski and Mary Jo Warnke for the raffle and silent auction and boutique table, Lisa and Holly Ferguson for the decorations. We missed you both. Big thank you for everyone that helped set up the show ring. Diane Nevins for the Hospitality food and drinks. Pat Wooster for the trophies. Tracy Wooster, with the help of Larry Cerka for the dinner Auction. We had a lot of nice auction items, Nancy Schaus donated some very old Bagpipers Magazine that Tracy Wooster paid $100.00 for. The big ticket item was a lawn chair with Scotties on it went for just over $200.00 to Phyllis Harp. Thank you for everyone that donated items and also the people that brought the items. More Thank you’s for Judy and Janet Campbell for selling the catalogs, taking entries for the Fun Match. Health Trust Raffle thank you to Colleen Kahler for making the beautiful quilt and Pat and Tracy Wooster for donating the Scottielamp. Thank you too our ring Steward Karen Elliot.
