(Facebook.com then search "Bonnie Francu") "Driving Miss Bonnie" (Bruce Hess Driver) I am a 14 year old (now 15 year old) Scottish Terrier named Bonnie. I am no one special – just an ordinary Scottie with ordinary thoughts. There are no monuments dedicated to me – and someday, my name will be forgotten. But, in one respect, I have succeeded as gloriously as any Scottie who ever lived. I have been LOVED by my family, loved with all their heart and soul for 14 years, and for me, that had always been enough… life was perfect. I spent my entire life in Michigan as the adored and well-loved furchild of Cornel and Pauline. My life was perfect… until BOTH parents passed away this past year. Suddenly, the world I knew and loved no longer existed. I spent time in a cat rescue, where I was well cared for. Then, the Scottish Terrier Club of Michigan Scottie Rescue stepped in. I soon found myself in Dowagiac, MI, where I spent a week at the Dowagiac Animal Hospital. Adding another shock to my reeling world, the vet there informed me that I have bladder cancer. Knowing that you’re going to die DOES change your outlook a bit, DOES put things into perspective, DOES give you time to get things done. Now, as my life journey begins its final miles, I find myself in new surroundings, with new people… with two sisters whose compassion surrounds me, wrapping me in their unconditional love. With the help of Regina and Chris, Brooke, Paige, Tina, and a local 4-H Club Dog Club of Cass County, Michigan, I now have the chance to get all of the things done that I’ve always WANTED to do….. my ‘BUCKET LIST’ !! I am now assured that my last days will be filled with love, soft kisses, smiles and laughter, and every possible joyful moment imaginable. So, follow me on this journey as I live each precious day to the fullest… Doing all the things that make me HAPPY, that puts a spring in my step, and a twinkle in my eye… All because of the profound love being lavished upon one 14 year old Scottie lass, whose final days will NOT be spent alone and uncertain, who WILL feel the softly whispered words of love, and know the warmth of loving arms wrapped around her. ANY TIME someone helps a Scottie to enjoy the LEMONADE ......it's a GOOD THING!!! Bonnie doesn't know she's sick........she will ENJOY each moment, FOR that MOMENT! and THAT'S the purpose of LEMONADE! LIVE IN THE MOMENT!!! [Click here] for more pictures of Bonnie Bonnie has gone over the Rainbow Bridge and is missed dearly by all of her friends. She was able to complete her bucket list and much, much more. She was lovely cared for by Chris Gamble, Regina Hess, and Nancy Schaus. Thank you so much ladies for sharing Bonnie with the world. She finished her time on earth loved by so many!!! |
